Services Provided:
- provide instructional design for development and delivery of onsite and distance courses
- produce instructional materials including interactive tutorials, presentations, graphics, photography, and audio and video production to enhance teaching and learning onsite
- produce instructional materials including interactive tutorials, presentations, graphics, photography, and audio and video production to enhance teaching and learning at a distance
- provide production tools for faculty use in the development of instructional materials
- locate research on available technologies to better deliver electronic content
- provide technical support for Blackboard and WebBoard
- offer specialized services for one department through the annual Adopt A Department program
- distribute information about instructional technology-related conferences, seminars, workshops, satellite broadcasts and Web casts
- increase awareness of distance learning initiatives both locally and state-wide
Professional development:
- facilitate semester-long Faculty Fellowships for development of specific instructional materials (http://www.harpercollege.edu/doit/forms/doit_fell.rtf)
- conduct workshops focused on teaching with instructional technology
- host instructional technology-related satellite broadcasts and seminars
- conduct information-sharing sessions on the use of instructional technology in teaching and learning
- facilitate the Successful Teaching Online Mentoring Program (STOMP)
