NET 241: Linux Networking
Course Description
Provides students with knowledge and hands-on experience in Linux system administration, including user and group account management, file system set up and management, backup strategies, software installation, and performance monitoring. Recommended preparation: NET141 or equivalent experience.

- SUSE Linux Enterprise Server Administration – Course Technology – ISBN-10: 1418837318 ISBN-13: 9781418837310
- Internet access and a Harper Blackboard account.
- A computer running Linux that you can control and script as root. As an alternative, you can use a PC with VMWare to create virtual machines for many of the lab exercises. Harper lab I 205 has computers and software that may be configured as necessary for this course.
