Course Description
Provides students the knowledge and skills to administer, upgrade, and maintain a Microsoft-based network. Recommended preparation: NET 263 or equivalent experience.

- Installing Microsoft Windows Server 2008
- Configuring and Managing the DHCP Server Roles
- Configuring and Managing the DNS Server Role (Name Resolution)
- Configuring Routing and Remote Access (RRAS) and Wireless Networking
- Configuring File Services
- Configuring and Monitor Print Services
- Maintaining and Updating Windows
- Maintaining Network Health with Network Access Protection & IPSec
- Securing Data Transmission and Authentication
- Maintaining File and Print Services

- A pair of computers that can be partitioned, reformatted, etc. As an alternative, you can use a PC with VMWare to create virtual machines for many of the lab exercises. Harper lab I 205 has computers and software that may be configured as necessary for this course.
