NET 270: Cisco Networking (CCNA)
Course Description
Provides students with experience configuring Cisco routers and switches for a variety of tasks, including IOS basics, router configuration, routing protocols, NAT, access lists, WAN settings, switching and VLANs. Recommended preparation: NET 111, NET 112, NET 121, and NET 122 or equivalent experience.

Required Materials
- CCNA Guide to Cisco Networking Fundamentals, Fourth Edition – Course Technology – ISBN-10: 1418837059 ISBN-13: 9781418837051
- Internet access and a Harper Blackboard account.
- Access to several Cisco routers and switches that may be configured and reconfigured for each lab exercise. As an alternative, you can use a PC with router simulation software such as the Cisco 640-802 Network Simulator or RouterSim's CCNA™ Network Visualizer® 6.0 for many of the lab exercises. Harper lab I 205 has computers, software, and Cisco equipment that may be configured as necessary for this course.
