Welcome!

Welcome to the English as a Second Language and Linguistics department. Our goal is to provide quality academic English language instruction for students whose native language is not English. We want to help prepare you for further academic study, employment, professional advancement and personal enrichment in the U.S. We offer two programs, depending on your needs.

Which program is right for me?

English Language Program

I want to take classes outside of the ESL department. (You must be at Reading Level IV or V.)
I only want to take 1 or 2 classes.
I can't attend class every day.

Intensive English Program

I want to complete all classes for each level in 12 weeks.
I want to have the same classmates in all classes.
I have time for 18 hours of classroom instruction a week plus out of class work.
