Donations for Purpura Plastika – Yucatan, Mexico

Purpura Plastika is a Mexican, non-profit foundation in the state of Yucatan. They reach out to underprivileged and disadvantaged groups to raise self esteem through artistic development. They believe that art is a benefit that should reach everyone in the community and that it will improve the quality of life of all those that get involved in creative, cultural, and artistic endeavors.   Purpura Plastika works with children in orphanages, alcohol and drug addicted adults, battered women, disenfranchised youth and many other groups.  Representatives from this organization will be on campus the first week in November, 2011.

We are collecting paint brushes and paint canvas (rolls preferred) for use in their workshops. To donate, place items in the large black box in room D148 or see Jacque Mott.

Visit their website at www.purpuraplastika.org
