Faculty Liaison Profile

Hi, I'm Tom Goetz. I'm new to Business and Social Science this year and am looking forward to working with you. Please feel free to contact me with any library related questions or issues.

I wear several hats at the Harper Library. I am coordinator of the Reference Department; in that role I maintain the reference collection and oversee the service at the Reference Desk. I administer the Library's automation system which sounds boring but is quite interesting. Finally, I am the liaison to CARLI a statewide library consortium of which Harper is a member.

I'm just moving over to the Business and Social Sciences division from WHP and Student Development. I am looking forward to learning more about library resources in this area, especially business resources. I have collected in the social sciences informally for some time.

I have worked at the Harper Library full time since 1996, adjunct since 1994. I will be serving on both the Curriculum and Sabbaticals committees this year.
