The Physical Plant Department is responsible for the repair, maintenance and operation of the buildings and grounds of the College. Department staff keep all operating systems in good repair; make the campus a comfortable, safe and attractive place to learn, live, work and play; and respond quickly to the emergency maintenance and repair needs of the campus community.

Harper College has 240 acres, 3 sites, 25 buildings and over 1.3 million square feet campuses. The department is divided into six crews; Maintenance, HVAC & Utilities, Roads & Grounds, Custodial & Set Up Crews, Shipping & Receiving and Administration.
