Benefits of Membership

  • Joining Phi Theta Kappa is a great way to get involved in your community. As a member, you are invited to participate in weekly meetings which discuss the various volunteer opportunities that are available to you.
  • Building your leadership skills is a large part of being a PTK member. By taking the initiative to join, you are taking the first step towards working with fellow members on various volunteer opportunities and projects. By participating in these activities, members learn how to effectively work with other individuals in order to achieve a common goal. You will develop interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and organizational skills.
  • Members have the opportunity to participate in elections in order to potentially be voted into an officer or presidential position. In such positions, one can further acquire the skills necessary to become an effective leader by taking on a larger responsibility in Phi Theta Kappa as well as activities.
  • Phi Theta Kappa members are eligible to receive exclusive transfer scholarships to many colleges and universities around the nation.
