The goals of the Tutoring Center are to reinforce materials presented in class and promote student success. We are here to help you succeed!
Our services are free to Harper Students, however Students must be enrolled in the course for which they seek tutoring.

Our Students
98% of the students who used our service have found it useful. Students have experienced an average improvement of 1.7 in their grade. 54% are 21 years of age or older. 50% of the students who use our services plan to transfer to a four-year college or university.
Community Tutoring Center
Tutoring is also available to members of the community who are not enrolled at Harper, through the Community Tutoring Center.
Our Staff
During the 2010-2011 school year, our tutors provided 33,638 hours of tutoring and had 25,538 student contacts. Free tutoring is available in more than 90 courses. This assistance is provided by professional and peer tutors.
We have professional and peer tutors with expertise in specific subjects, including Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Information Systems, Management, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and World Languages. Tutoring in additional subjects is available by appointment only.
