Blood Buffer - The Experiment
The setup for this experiment includes a pH probe/meter to measure the pH of the solution and a magnetic stirrer to keep it well mixed. The setup is shown below.
When setting up the apparatus several items should be kept in mind:
- the pH probe should be calibrated before use
- make sure the tip of the pH probe is completely immersed in solution
- the magnetic stirrer is composed of two parts (the stirrer itself and the stirbar placed in the solution)
- the pH probe is fragile, make sure that the spinning stirbar does not hit it
