Distinction in International Perspectives
The Distinction in International Perspectives is a graduation honor designed to promote, acknowledge, and reward individual students’ real, life-changing growth during their studies at Harper College. A student who earns the Distinction in International Perspectives will meet the following requirements:
* Grade of C or better in 12 hours of interdisciplinary academic coursework
* Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
* Complete the Abstract and Prospectus of the project proposal
* Capstone project
Students are supported through the Prospectus and Capstone activities by the Director of International Education and qualified faculty advisors/ mentors. The Distinction offers students an opportunity to work closely with Harper faculty and exposes students to different cultures, creating a unique advantage for students’ future employment, scholarship possibilities, and higher education experiences.

These forms represent the steps in the process of completing the Distinction in International Perspectives. Each form includes detailed instructions.
1. Inquiry Form: Fill this form out prior to meeting with the Director of International Education.
2. Abstract and Consent Form: This form will be completed in conjunction with your faculty advisor/mentor.
3. Prospectus Form: This form describes what is required in the Prospectus and sets a timetable for completion of the various components of the Distinction Project.
