Prospective International Students (F-1)

Thank you for your interest in attending Harper College. You are required to submit all the application documents and forms included in the first link, Application Process and Forms, to be considered for admission as an international student to Harper College. The deadline for completed applications:

Fall Semester           June 15th

Spring Semester      November 15th

Summer Semester   March 15th (for ESL students)

Summer Semester   April 15th (for degree-seeking students)

Once all your documents and forms have been submitted and approved, the International Student Office will issue you a Form I-20. You use this form to request your student visa from a U.S. embassy.

For students already in the U.S. in F-1 status, you must contact the school that issued your current Form I-20 and request that your SEVIS record be transferred to Harper College, school code CHI214F00471000. Students already in F-1 status and in the United States have the following deadlines:

Fall Semester             July 15th

Spring Semester        December 1st

Summer Semester     March 30th (for ESL students)

Summer Semester     May 1st  (for degree-seeking students)

For students already in the U.S. in a legal, non-immigrant status other than F-1 must request a change of non-immigrant status through the USCIS. See the link below for the complete process.
