| The household items washing soda and table salt each have one of the chemicals in this experiment as their primary component.

Table Salt: No reaction with barium chloride, sodium carbonate, potassium iodide, sodium sulfate, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid and sodium chloride. A white precipitate formed with silver nitrate.
